Juventus host Frosinone in Serie A at the Juventus Stadium on Wednesday night, hoping to extend their recent good form.

The Bianconeri got their first win of the Serie A season on Sunday by defeating Genoa 2-0 at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris while the Canarini are yet to gain a single point in the league and haven’t scored a goal since their opening day defeat to Torino. Roberto Stellone’s side lost 1-0 to fellow strugglers Bologna at the weekend.

Massimiliano Allegri’s side lost their first two games of the season against Udinese and Roma, while they were fortunate to gain a point at home to Chievo following the defeat in Rome. Juventus drew 1-1 with the Flying Donkeys but Rolando Maran’s side had a legitimate goal controversially disallowed.

These two sides have never played each other in Serie A but Juventus did play Frosinone in league football back in the 2006-07 Serie B campaign. The Bianconeri won 1-0 in Turin thanks to a Alessandro Del Piero goal and they won 2-0 in Frosinone thanks to a Marcelo Zalayeta double.

Both teams won’t have anyone missing through suspension but the Bianconeri will be missing the likes of Sami Khedira, Claudio Marchisio and Kwadwo Asamoah because of long-term injuries.

Attacking duo Alvaro Morata and Mario Mandzukic both miss out after suffering muscle injuries at the weekend.

The Canarini are close to full strength but Austrian midfielder Robert Gucher isn’t expected to be rushed back into the team.
