Serie A’s huge investment over the course of the transfer window has seen the league spend over €600 million.

After years of free transfers and loan deals, the league has started to invest heavily once again as it starts to shake off the financial turmoil that has plagued the national game in recent years. In terms of spending across Europe’s top five leagues, Serie A is second only to the English Premier League.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Juventus lead the charge in Italy with the Bianconeri spending over €120 million followed by the two Milanese clubs with Inter’s investments reaching over €100 million while AC Milan‘s total is close to the €90 million mark.

All of these however pale in comparison to Manchester City’s financial power with the Premier League club spending over €200 million.
