Torino have been dealt a blow following the news that defender Nikola Maksimovic could well have broken his right foot in training with the Serbian national team.
The incident occurred during a training session ahead of their International fixtures against Armenia and France, of which the 23-year-old will now miss if the break to his fifth metatarsal is confirmed.
The official website for the Serbian footballing federation published the news of the injury and also stated that the player is already on his way back to Turin to undergo further tests.
Maksimovic has become an integral member of the Granata team since his arrival from Stella Rossa in 2013, and has so far started both Serie A matches this season.
During his time in Italy, he has made 52 appearances and was previously a transfer target for both Napoli and AC Milan.
