The Torino forward started the game alongside Fabio Quagliarella and Lopez was happy to prove to coach Giampiero Ventura he is worth his place in the starting XI.
“I have to thank the fans and the coaching staff here at Torino for the faith they have put in me,” Lopez told Sky Sport after the Palermo match.
“I am very happy that I have been able to repay them with my performances.
“I really wanted to change Ventura’s mind and make him start me.
“I worked as hard as everyone else, with a lot of anger and determination.
“This is the way I will continue to convince Ventura of my worth.”
