Ventura - TorinoTorino coach Giampiero Ventura has praised his side’s performances so far this season, despite the absence of some important players.

The Granata have surprised many with their impressive start to the Serie A campaign and find themselves just two points off top of the table Fiorentina, taking 13 points from their opening six matches.

Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Ventura was adamant that the sky is the limit for this Toro side.

“Today we are just two points off first place,” the 67-year-old began.

“We have done this without [Nikola] Maksimovic, Bruno Peres and [Danilo] Avelar,” he added.

“This shows the group can overcome difficult situations.

“When they return we are in control of our own destiny.

“There is nothing we cannot achieve.”

Torino’s next outing in Serie A will be a trip to newly promoted Carpi.
