Napoli full-back Elseid Hysaj is proud to have settled in with his new club, and in particular with his weekly pay.
The 21-year-old joined from Empoli over the summer and has appeared in each of Napoli’s games in Serie A so far this season.
In an interview with the magazine E Azzurro, Hysaj spoke about what an honor it is to play for Napoli and how it sets himself apart from his fellow countrymen.
“Naples is as welcoming as my own country,” said the Albanian international.
“I am happy here and I want to achieve a lot with this shirt.
“Playing in the team of [Diego] Maradona, which I followed as a child, it is a dream.”
As proud as Hysaj might be to be playing for a club with as storied a history as Napoli, there is an added layer to his enthusiasm.
“I am proud to be the highest paid player in the history of Albania.”
