Former AC Milan midfielder Massimo Ambrosini has criticised the work ethic of Inter forward Mauro Icardi.

Icardi has been in poor form this season and has only scored two goals in eight Serie A appearances. Furthermore, the Nerazzurri have only scored nine goals in total this season.

“He moans a lot, but he can not play with others.” said Ambrosini to Sky Sport Italia.

“Icardi should think first about playing well for the team. With the quality he has, the goal will not take long to come, but now the important thing is that the team gains confidence together.”

Last season Icardi was in superb form and finished the season with 22 goals in 33 Serie A appearances. He also contributed six assists to that goalscoring tally.
