Carlo AncelottiFormer AC Milan coach has urged the Rossoneri to keep the faith with Sinisa Mihajlovic after their embarrassing 4-0 home defeat to Napoli.

The 56-year-old also spoke about the end of his time on the Real Madrid bench.

“They dismissed me at Real because I didn’t win, I could have stayed there for five years but that’s the philosophy,” said Ancelotti to the Corriere della Sera.

“The ‘Decima’ gave me the chance to stay on for another year and nothing more.”

The two-time Champions League winner was then asked for what he feels is missing from Milan.

“Unity as [Sampdoria’s] president Massimo [Ferrero] would say,” Ancelotti added.

“However, they cannot lose faith and they have to give the coaches time.

“[Clarence] Seedorf and [Filippo] Inzaghi weren’t burned by Milan but by results.”

The former midfielder also shed some light onto talks he had with the club’s vice-president Adriano Galliani about returning to the Rossoneri after he left Madrid.

“When they knew that I wasn’t staying at Madrid; Galliani came over to evaluate the situation,” Ancelotti went on.

“Galliani is brilliant and a pleasure to be around but after two years with Real I had no energy and I immediately said no thank you.”
