Juventus midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah has discussed his injury problems saying that it has been emotionally hard for him to be absent from first-team football for so long.
The Ghanaian midfielder missed the whole of last season with recurring knee injuries, but did finally make his return to playing in the 3-1 win against Bologna.
“It was a difficult time for me, because it’s something that has never happened to me in my career,” said Asamoah to Sky Sport Italia.
“It was hard to stay at home for so long, my family helped me a lot and my team-mates have also been really helpful.
“It’s not been easy for me to sit out for so many months, it has been a time of growth for me.”
The Ghanaian defender has been at Juve since joining from Udinese in 2012.
