david villa pirloNew York City FC midfielder Andrea Pirlo could be on the verge of a dramatic exit from the franchise, with reports he has received offers from Brazilian club Palmeiras.

The 36-year-old enjoyed four Scudetto-laden seasons at Juventus and helped the club to the Champions League final last season before joining the Major League Soccer’s newest outfit in the summer transfer window.

That, though, has done little halt speculation regarding Pirlo’s future with The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that the playmaker has received a lucrative offer to join Palmeiras.

In addition, the Brazilian club believes the signing of the Italian international could prove to be the club’s best of the last two decades and are hopeful of a positive response.

Pirlo, who  is currently representing Italy in the final round of qualifications for Euros 2016, is believed to have knocked back approaches from the Alviverde in the summer in favour of joining the New York-based club instead.
