Bologna club manager Marco Di Vaio has targeted a victory over former club Juventus at the Juventus Stadium in Turin on Sunday evening.

The 39-year-old spent two seasons with the Bianconeri before moving to Valencia in 2004, with brief spells with AS Monaco and Genoa preceding a successful four year stint at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara between 2008 and 2012.

“I expect them[Juventus] to be good, as they also played well against Frosinone and deserved to win. After their win against Sevilla they will be even more determined,” Di Vaio told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“We must do well in defence, have a bit of luck and be more courageous in attack.”

The former Italy international striker was grateful Bologna offered him the opportunity to showcase his talent in Serie A after a turbulent spell away from Italy.

“Bologna gave me a great opportunity. I hadn’t played in Serie A for four seasons, as I was with Monaco and then Genoa, where I played poorly. They said I was finished. I felt the affection of the fans here, and they respected me as a person which was gratifying.”
