evra manchester unitedJuventus defender Patrice Evra has revealed the pain behind his decision to leave his former club Manchester United.

The Frenchman joined the Bianconeri in the summer of 2014 and he has since stated that his move to Italy was motivated by family reasons rather than a lack of playing time.

“It was because of my family that I decided to go and play in Italy,”said Evra to RMC.

“It was a hard choice because Manchester United wanted to keep me, but it was essential that I left.”

The 34-year-old was also quizzed upon the possibility of a potential return to his native France in the future, stating that he is unsure as to where his career will continue.

“I don’t know if I will return to Ligue 1 in the future,” Evra added.

“But it is impossible to predict what will happen in life.”
