Kalinic FiorentinaNikola Kalinic believes this weekend’s match between Fiorentina and Napoli will be a great occasion.

Fiorentina go into the game top of Serie A while Napoli have beaten AC Milan and Juventus in their last two domestic fixtures and the game at the Stadio San Paolo is expected to be a sell out.

“The game at the San Paolo will be a great match,” Kalinic told reporters while on international duty with Croatia.

“Napoli have some amazing players like [Gonzalo] Higuain.

“But we come into the match with a lot of confidence being top of Serie A.

“In our last big away game, we played very well at the San Siro against Inter.”

Kalinic then went onto talk about Paulo Sousa who he believes has made a big impact since joining the club in the summer.

“Sousa has changed things since he came in,” Kalinic added.

“He has given me a lot of confidence which I am grateful for.

“But now I must focus on Croatia as we have a big game against Malta.

“We must win the game and then hope Italy can do us a favour against Norway.

“It would be a lot better if we qualified automatically rather than facing a play-off.”
