Fiorentina are top of Serie A after beating Atalanta 3-0 at the weekend and Kalinic believes there is a euphoria around the club.
“Everyone hopes we can be champions, including myself,” Kalinic told reporters while on international duty with Croatia.
“There’s great euphoria at the club.”
Kalinic then spoke about Croatia, who are in the same Euro qualifying group as Italy, ahead of their match against Bulgaria as they look to catch Italy and Norway at the top of Group H.
“The atmosphere is great in the group,” Kalinic continued.
“We all can’t wait to play and win these two games against Bulgaria and Malta.
“I hope to play from the start as I have been with my club.
“I am ready to be the striker, but I hope Mario Mandzukic can recover, as he can be key for the team.
