Sebastian Giovinco- TorontoToronto FC forward Sebastian Giovinco has shared his delight after being recalled to the Italy squad by Antonio Conte for the Azzurri’s final two Euro 2016 qualification matches.

Giovinco’s international career was left in question after departing Juventus for Toronto, however, his current form in Major League Soccer has made it difficult for Conte to overlook him in naming his squad.

“It’s not something you can just take for granted,” the former Juve man told Rai Sport.

“I’m happy to be back wearing the Italy jersey and for regaining a place in the Azzurri,” he added.

“Just being here is already a victory, it’s a challenge that I won.

“It is something I aimed for and really hoped would happen.”

The 28-year old currently has the second highest goal tally in the MLS with 21 goals in just 29 games, as well as an additional 15 assists.

Along with Andrea Pirlo of New York City FC, Giovinco is only the second MLS player to feature for the Italian national side.
