Lazio defender Wesley Hoedt says that he is seeing the club grow after they claimed their third consecutive victory.
The Biancocelesti have started to erase memories of their 5-0 thumping at the hands of Napoli last month with a spike in form, and after defeating Saint-Etienne in the Europa League, unlikely goalscorer Hoedt is optimistic.
“We are growing, and we’re trying to play each game better than we did last season,” stated the Dutchman to Lazio Style Channel.
“It was a complicated match as they [Saint-Etienne] are strong, but so are we,” he continued.
“In the first half we played well, but in the second we used our numerical superiority.”
Saint-Etienne had two players sent off as they eventually lost 3-2 to their Italian opponents.
Lazio’s win takes them to the summit of Group G after two games have passed.
