FC Porto midfielder Giannelli Imbula has said that he chose to move to Portugal over Inter because he felt the Dragoes believed in him more.
Imbula was heavily linked with a move to the Nerazzurri in the summer but after the Azuis e Brancos submitted a €20 million bid he moved to the Estádio do Dragão.
“I did not know where I would end up.” said the Frenchman to Canal +.
“But this is normal with stuff the market. I was fortunate to have several clubs interested, but eventually Porto submitted a bid which showed they were more convinced by me.
“That’s why I decided to go to Portugal. I’m not at all disappointed with my choice. Porto is a great club, I hope to achieve a lot of success.
“If the €20 million bid is an extra pressure? Absolutely not, the players do not negotiate the price, it is the clubs. ”
