Samir Handanovic InterContract talks between Samir Handanovic and Inter have reportedly been postponed until after the new year.

The Slovenia international’s current contract is set to expire next summer and he was expected to pen a new deal by the start of September, however a drawn-out standoff between the player and club delayed any progress.

In a recent interview with Sport Mediaset Handanovic revealed that he expected to sign a new contract within the coming days.

However, reports from FcInterNews.it now suggest that talks of a possible renewal have been delayed once more, this time until January.

The 31-year-old is considered to be willing to continue his relationship with the Nerazzurri, although the goalkeeper is in no rush to commit and sign a new contract.

Handanovic has appeared in over 130 games for Inter keeping 47 clean sheets, since joining from Serie A rivals Udinese in 2012.
