Inter striker Rodrigo Palacio is set to hold talks with the club soon over the possibility of extending his contract which is due to expire next summer.

The former Genoa front-man has been with the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza club since 2012, signing from the Rossoblu in a deal worth €10.5 million.

According to FcInternews.com, it’s expected the 33-year-old’s representatives will begin talks with the Nerazzurri in December to try to agree a new deal for the Argentine.

Former club Boca Juniors had previously shown a keen interest in taking their former star back to Argentina and could return in the January transfer window with a fresh offer if no agreement can be reached between the Bahia Blanca born forward and Inter.

The former Banfield striker has made 104 appearances in Serie A for the Biscione, finding the net on 37 occasions during his spell with the Milanese giants.
