Inter are keeping a close eye on Palmeiras forward Gabriel Jesus, however, they may face competition from their direct rivals.

The 18-year-old talent has kicked up a storm in the Brazilian Serie A ever since being promoted from the ranks of Palmeiras’ youth system, where he scored an astonishing  37 goals in only 22 matches.

Jesus made his debut for the senior squad this March and has gone on to score five goals since, sending potential suitors into a mad dash to capture his signature.

According to Fox Sports Brasil, one such squad looking for his signature is Inter, who have reportedly had the youngster on their radar for quite a long time.

However, they face direct competition from city rivals AC Milan who are no longer put off by the youngster’s €30 million price tag after their recent injection of money.

The Sao Paulo-based club could be willing to cash in this coming January, though it is expected either Milan club will need to pay the full amount to bring him in.
