Inter defender Juan Jesus has confirmed that there was interest in him over the summer, but says that he would never join Juventus.
The Brazilian was one of the Nerazzurri’s standout players from last season, featuring in 32 Serie A fixtures for Roberto Mancini’s men, but Inter resisted the urge to cash in on their prized possession during the transfer window.
“There were some demands in the summer, but it wasn’t the right time to listen to them,” said Juan Jesus to Inter Channel.
“I know I have more to give to Inter, I want to win with this team and I still have a long contract,” he continued.
“I would never join Juventus,” the player insisted.
“They are a great side but I have to do the right thing for Inter, because I have spent so much time here.”
Juan Jesus made his Inter debut in May 2012, making a further 93 Serie A appearances since.
