Juventus defender Daniele Rugani is reportedly being pursued as a transfer target by Napoli coach Maurizio Sarri.
The 21-year-old centre-back joined the Bianconeri in the summer transfer window, having previously worked under current Partenopei boss Sarri during their time at Empoli.
According to Sportmediaset, there is a mutual admiration between Sarri and Rugani, with both being open to working together in the near future, with reports suggesting a January move could be on the cards.
The Italian Under-21 international is yet to feature in Serie A for the Old Lady, with Massimiliano Allegri’s men struggling in their early fixtures and currently find themselves in 12th place.
Napoli, on the other hand, currently sit in sixth place and have recently beaten Juventus 2-1, as well as securing a 4-0 hammering of AC Milan in their most recent outing.
