Juventus are thought to be making attempts to extend the contract of defender Andrea Barzagli.
Barzagli’s current contract expires at the end of this season, and despite being 34-years-old, the Old Lady still consider him a very important figure at the club.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the club have contacted Barzagli’s representatives to talk about extending a contract and whether Barzagli himself is ready mentally and physically for another season with the Bianconeri.
No details have yet emerged to suggest the former Wolfsburg man will receive a pay rise in any potential new deal.
Barzagli has been a key figure already for Juventus this season having made seven starts and one substitute appearance.
Last season the defender made just 10 Serie A appearances due to injury.
