Alvaro Morata and Juventus are currently negotiating a new contract that could see the Spanish striker earning €4 million per year.
Despite rumours that Real Madrid are interested in exercising their buyback option in Morata’s contract the Spaniard has said he remains happy in Turin.
According to Tuttosport, the two parties are now set to begin negotiations to ward off interested from Los Blancos.
“What the papers say about there being a buyback clause for me to go back to Real Madrid is true,” he told Radio Marca
“However, some things are more important than clauses, and a person’s happiness must be considered.”
The 22-year old has netted three times in all competitions this season, including in both of the Bianconeri’s Champions League fixtures against Manchester City and Sevilla.
