Juventus forward Alvaro Morata admits the side started the season slowly but is adamant they are improving.

The former Real Madrid striker scored his first Serie A goal of the season at the weekend against Bologna and Morata is happy to be back on international duty with Spain.

“Juventus did not start in the best possible way, but we are getting back on track now,” Morata told reporters at the Spanish training camp.

“We have got to start winning in Serie A again, the way we always have done.

“Slowly the team is improving and I am happy, especially as I have got back to scoring too.

“I am feeling much better now and I am happy to be back in the national team.”

While Morata has struggled in Serie A this season, the Spaniard has an incredible recent record in the Champions League. His goal last week against Sevilla matched Alessandro Del Piero’s record of scoring in five consecutive Champions League games for Juventus.
