Lazio will host Frosinone at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Sunday evening at 18:00.

The Aquile are in sixth place in Serie A with 12 points while the Canarini share 16th place with Empoli on four points.

Both teams obtained wins in Round 6. After going 1-0 down, Lazio won 2-1 against Hellas Verona on Sunday at the Stadio Bentegodi and Frosinone got their first-ever Serie A win on Monday night by beating Empoli 2-0, thanks to Federico Dionisi’s brace.

The Biancocelesti are starting to pick up some improved results after some heavy defeats in the earlier rounds, losing 4-0 to Chievo in their second match of the season and also 5-0 to Napoli just two weeks later. In addition to the Verona win, Stefano Pioli’s side beat Udinese 2-0 and defeated Genoa by the same score.

Frosinone started off poorly in their first-ever Serie A season by losing their first four matches, but pulled off consecutive shocks after their 1-1 draw with Empoli as well as their 2-0 victory over Empoli.

The Biancocelesti will be missing Brazilian centre-back Mauricio for this game because of suspension. Antonio Candreva, Abdoulay Konko and Alessandro Matri look set to return to from injury but Miroslav Klose and Stefan De Vrij will still be unavailable with a hamstring and knee injury respectively.

The Canarini will be missing Samuele Longo with an ankle injury and coach Roberto Stellone is expected to make further changes to his starting line-up. Alessandro Frara is expected to take Aleksandar Tonev’s place on the right side of midfield and Raman Chibsah is likely to replace Paolo Sammarco in one of the central midfield positions.
