Hellas Verona coach Andrea Mandorlini believes his side go into the Derby della Scala as underdogs.
The Gialloblu will face off against their city rivals Chievo on Saturday evening and coach Mandorlini believes his side will have to give their all to pick up a favourable result, after having failed to win a single one of their opening six games.
“At the moment our ranking [in Serie A] is not good, while Chievo are certainly doing much better,” Mandorlini told Sky Sport Italia ahead of the game.
“It will be a tough game, though we’ll give our all.
“Chievo are favourites to win but anything can happen on the pitch; sometimes in a derby the odds can be overturned.”
Striker Giampaolo Pazzini has been called up for the game, despite suffering a sprained ankle just a few weeks ago.
“We need him,” Mandorlini exclaimed.
“We will do everything to get him back [to full fitness] though I don’t know if we’ll succeed in time.”
