Mandorlini - Hellas VeronaHellas Verona coach Andrea Mandorlini praised his side’s performance against Chievo.

The Gialloblu lost a one-goal lead to draw 1-1 in the Derby della Scala on Saturday night, but despite throwing away the three points Mandorlini is pleased with how the team played, given their injury list ahead of the international break.

“We went ahead and were dangerous on several occasions despite our problems,” he told the press after the full-time whistle.

“The break will be important as it will allow some players to recover.”

The Italian then talked about Emil Hallfredsson, who put in an excellent performance for Verona after recovering from an injury recently.

“He is an important player, he has been out for a month and we missed him,” Maran said.

Verona currently sit in 17th place in the Serie A table.
