Chievo coach Rolando Maran believes his side must not let their standing in the Serie A table get to their heads, and that they must continue to work hard if they want to win.
The Flying Donkeys are soaring in the league, eight points ahead of their city rivals Hellas Verona, who they will play on Saturday night in the Derby della Scala. However, their coach Maran has expressed the need for continuity and hard work in order to maintain their high run of form.
“Referring to the league table is dangerous,” he said in an interview to Sky Sport Italia, ahead of the derby.
“We must do so much more than our opponents in order to take home the three points.
“We are going beyond the most optimistic expectations, but we have to keep working hard.
“If we do things right then we will have more chances to win, but we are by no means favourites [for the derby].”
