Lorenzo Insigne - NapoliLorenzo Insigne is enjoying his current form although he insists Napoli should not think about winning Serie A just yet.

The 24-year-old scored his first double for Napoli at the weekend against AC Milan in a 4-0 win and speaking while on international duty with Italy, Insigne reaffirmed he never wanted to leave the club.

“Things are going well now for me, but I want to improve even more,” Insigne told reporters.

“As a child I had to make a lot of sacrifices and my parents always pushed me on to win.

“I didn’t go to school and in the afternoon, I was training with the Napoli youth team.

“The sacrifices I have put in paid off.

“I even had to sell clothes for a time.”

Insigne went onto talk about his performance against Milan and Napoli’s chance of winning the Scudetto.

“I enjoyed the praise from the crowd at the San Siro,” added Insigne.

“The applause from the fans was nice, even from the Milan fans. I want to continue playing like this.

“We are going well but we have to be cautious about talking about the Scudetto.

“It is the dream of any child growing up in Naples to be successful with the club.”

Insigne finished by talking about his relationship with Napoli and his love for the club.

“At the beginning, I had problems with the fan,” Insigne continued.

“That is all in the past now and I want to do well for both the club and the city.

“I have never thought of leaving Napoli.

“The only reason I reacted to boos and insults from the supporters sometimes is simply because I’m the biggest fan of the club and want it to do well.”
