Roma on Sunday afternoon making it four consecutive defeats in Serie A for the Sicilian club.

The Rosanero found themselves three goals behind inside the first 30 minutes, but controlled large periods of the match and eventually got within one goal of the visitors, before a late Gervinho strike saw it finish 4-2.

“We will continue to work knowing that with the return of key players our best is yet to come,” Iachini told Rai Sport.

“Today we had three opportunities to equalise and we just could not find the goal, and we were facing a team full of quality.

“The second-half we believed [we could recover], and in terms of the commitment the players did what was needed.

“In this period we pay for even the slightest mistakes, but I am convinced that we will return to the levels that we have reached before.”

The 51-year-old will now have an additional week to work with his players during the international break, before they attempt to turn around their terrible run away to Bologna on 18 October.
