Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic has revealed that he’s satisfied with the capital city club’s performance in their 4-2 away win over Palermo on Sunday but admits that his team still need to work on defence.

The Giallorossi have been quite inconsistent as of late, losing their previous game 3-2 against BATE Borisov in the Champions League on Tuesday, though the 25-year-old feels his side were able to show improvement against the Rosanero in Sicily by entering the match with the right mentality and scoring a lot of goals.

Pjanic spoke to Sky Sport Italia following the victory over Palermo about Roma’s performance and commented on what the Lupi must work on if they hope to find continuity.

“The team took the field with the right mindset tonight,” said the Bosnia-Herzegovina international, who scored his team’s first goal in the second minute of the match.

“We had the wrong mentality in the last game, which shouldn’t happen with the team we have, but today we proved that we can do very well by showing that we can fight until the end, even in a difficult situation.

“We played in a different style today, but I’m always in the midfield. I think the coach has found the correct formation for this team.

“However, I think we score enough goals, but should working on conceding less.”
