Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade is unimpressed by onlookers tipping his side for the Serie A title.
The Viola have been a surprise package so far this season, sitting on top of the pile throughout October’s international break, but Prade says it is far too early to think about winning the Scudetto.
“Fiorentina for the Scudetto?” Prade queried to Sky Sport Italia.
“They are words that make no sense,” he continued.
“There is no proof for that, and we just have to keep working and remaining humble.
“We do not want to put responsibility on our coach Paulo Sousa, so we’ll just enjoy the moment.”
Asked about the transfer market, which reopens for business in January, Prade was similarly irked.
“We do not need a midfielder. I see no reason to talk about the transfer market.
“Talking about it is not right, for the coach or the players.”
