Marquinho - RomaRoma have referred a case to FIFA over a dispute surrounding missed payments from the Saudi side Al-Ittihad.

The disagreement centres around the transfer of the Brazilian midfielder Marquinho to the club in 2014.

An annual financial statement as published on the club’s website confirmed that the Giallorossi were taking the matter up with the authorities as they look to get the money they are owed.

Roma insist that Al-Ittihad did not honour their side of the deal and that the Saudi club still owe them €1.07 million for the Brazilian’s two-year loan transfer.

Marquinho is currently with Udinese on a permanent basis after he left Al-Ittihad after making 26 appearances in Saudi Arabia.

The Brazilian made 52 appearances and scored seven goals for Roma before moving to Hellas Verona on loan at the end of the 2013-14 Serie A season.
