Sassuolo winger Domenico Berardi could be on his way to Juventus in the January transfer window.

Half of the 21 year-old’s contract was signed by the Bianconeri in 2013, but was sold back for €10 million.

According to CalcioNews24.com the Serie A champions are preparing a January bid to bring him to Turin.

The Old Lady have first refusal on Berardi, with a fee exceeding €25 million required to appease Sassuolo.

Berardi hasn’t scored for the Neroverdi this campaign after suffering an injury in their opening fixture.

The Italian Under-21 international expressed his desire to stay with Sassuolo until the end of the year.

Sassuolo would prefer to keep Berardi for as long as possible, but accept the situation and his desire.

Juventus see Berardi as an alternative to signing loanee Juan Cuadrado permanently from Chelsea.

In his previous two seasons in Serie A the youngster has scored over 30 goals for the Neroverdi.
