Udinese youngster Simone Scuffet has revealed that AC Milan tried to sign him last year.

The 19 year-old Zebrette shot-stopper is currently on a season-long loan at Serie B side Como.

Speaking to Corriere dello Sport in an interview Scuffet revealed the interest of the Rossoneri in 2014.

“AC Milan tried to sign me in January last year, but only to play for their Primavera,” Scuffet began.

“Fortunately, the move didn’t go through, as I made my first team Serie A debut just a month later.

“I was lucky to have family and friends close as they all gave me the best advice,” he concluded.

The young keeper would make a further 18 Serie A appearances before being replaced in goal.

Scuffet is hoping to rediscover his form at Como after being displaced by Orestis Karnezis.

So far Scuffet has kept two clean sheets, conceding just five goals in four Serie B games.
