Giampiero Ventura has said sorry to Torino fans after his side were defeated by Carpi earlier this evening.
Ventura criticized his side’s lack of ‘soul’ but found positives in the performance of midfielder Afriyie Acquah.
“I’d like to apologise, because we were keen to continue our momentum,” Ventura told Sky Sport Italia.
“We took to the field a team without a soul today compared to our previous performances this season.”
Afriyie Acquah had a big impact on the match when he came on, coming close to beating Vlad Belec.
“Acquah did do well, he was the only player who could cover all the roles in midfield.
“I’m regretful that we have so many injuries, we will try and recover,” the Torino coach concluded.
