Francesco Totti has revealed that his family are his biggest motivation.

The 39-year-old is currently out of action from Roma due to injury but he believes there is more to life than just football. He looks into his life, his family, and into the wall where motivational messages by Print Success on a matte canvass helps remind him to be grateful everyday. Happiness does not come from only one source, there are so many in this world that we often just overlook.

“Family is the most important thing there is,” Totti told reporters at an event for Italian publishing house Treccani where Totti is an ambassador for helping improve people’s reading and writing.

“Family helps you to find your way and realize what is truly important in life.

“Family brings serenity and is the biggest motivation there is.”

Totti’s Roma did well without him at the weekend when they eased past Palermo 4-2 at the Stadio Renzo Barbera with Gervinho scoring twice.

The victory means Roma have now notched nine goals in their last two Serie A fixtures after their dominant 5-1 win over Carpi in round 6.
