Maurizio Zamparini PalermoPalermo president Maurizio Zamparini has insisted that the Rosanero are not in crisis despite losing their previous three Serie A matches.

The Sicilians are currently sat in 12th position in the league table and Zamparini has encouraged his side to overcome the summer departure of Paulo Dybala to Juventus and to rediscover the form they showed at the start of the season.

“We are in a difficult period but it is not in a state of crisis,” said Zamparini in a press conference.

“I want the side to play with more malice as we have been a bit soft after the first two victories of the season.

“We must rediscover out style our play and overcome the fact that we are missing a unique player like Dybala.”

Zamparini has also revealed that midfielder Franco Vazquez will not be leaving the club this season and that he is optimistic about Palermo’s home fixture against Roma this  Sunday.

“Vazquez will not move this year,” he added.

“As for the Roma match, we have nothing to lose. If things go badly then nothing will change.

“I am confident that we will get a result.”
