Sampdoria coach Walter Zenga has confessed his love for former club Inter though has pledged to put aside his past while he leads his other love, Sampdoria, into their upcoming game on Sunday afternoon.

The lunchtime fixture will see both coaches face off against their former sides, though coach Zenga has promised to put his past aside and honour the Blucerchiati

“It would be disrespectful for Inter and my fans if I said that this challenge is the same as any other,” Zenga opened, in his press-conference.

“This is not a normal game, however, I am very attached to Sampdoria. For me it is a point of arrival.

“I know what it means to wear the Sampdoria shirt and to sweat for it.

“I know how much of an honour it is to wear it, so I will always give my all to Doria.

Zenga then spoke of reuniting with Inter’s coach Roberto Mancini, whom he played alongside at Sampdoria.

“It’s very nice to meet him back on the field,” He exclaimed.

“We are very good friends, in fact I remember the first game that we played together, all the way back in 1984.”
