Niang Sampdoria AC MilanAC Milan eased past Sampdoria 4-1 at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Saturday night in Serie A, sending themselves into fifth place.

Giacomo Bonaventura gave Milan the lead before M’Baye Niang smashed home a penalty to double the advantage. The Frenchman capitalised on an error at the back to get his second with Luis Adriano completing the rout. Eder then got a consolation from the penalty spot.

It was a truly exhilarating start  after just 36 seconds when Gianluigi Donnarumma’s poor clearance fell to Roberto Soriano, whose shot was well saved by the relieved 16-year-old in goal.

The deadlock was broken right on the quarter-hour mark though when Niang drilled the ball across the six-yard box for Bonaventura to smash home at the far post.

The lead was doubled with ten minutes left of the first-half from the penalty spot. A tug of the shirt led Niang to smash the Rossoneri into a 2-0 lead.

Milan began the second-half as they ended the first and Niang was on the double to get his brace. A shocking pass from Emiliano Viviano in the Sampdoria goal gifted the ball to the young Frenchman who slotted home with aplomb.

The fourth came with ten minutes remaining and it was the substitute Adriano who volleyed home a valuable goal for both himself and Milan.

Eder struck a late penalty to give the travelling support something to celebrate after winning himself a penalty off of Andrea Poli.

The result in question continues to leave Sampdoria in a torrid state, meaning Vincenzo Montella has a lot of work to do in order to get his side back on track. Milan meanwhile move above Juventus and Sassuolo into 5th place in Serie A.
