AC Milan will compete against Premier League side Everton in the race to sign former Aston villa player Ron Vlaar.
The Milanese giants join a host of clubs who are trying to obtain the free agents signature, with Serie A rivals Inter and Lazio also keen on signing the player.
According to The Liverpool Echo, the Rossoneri have targeted Vlaar as he would provide coach Sinisa Mihajlovic with some much-needed cover to a leaky defence, that has already conceded 16 goals in 12 league matches.
Vlaar however might have a tougher time finding a breakthrough into Inter’s starting line-up, given the impressive recent form of Miranda and Jeison Murillo this season.
The former Feyenoord central defender made a total of 79 appearances during his time at Villa Park, scoring only twice.
