Palermo have officially confirmed that playmaker Franco Vazquez will not be sold during the January transfer window
The 26-year-old has recently attracted interest from Serie A giants AC Milan, as well as from Premier League sides Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton, however it has now been revealed that he will not leaving the Stadio Renza Barbera until at least the summer.
“Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has stated that Franco Vazquez will definitely not be sold during the winter session of the transfer market,” said the club on their official website.
The enigmatic owner also confirmed on Tuesday that he will allow the Argentine-born Italian International to leave the club, but only if someone pays the necessary €30 million transfer fee.
Vazquez has 12 Serie A appearances so far this season, scoring only once.
