Keisuke Honda - AC Milan's number 10.AC Milan midfielder Keisuke Honda has asked to leave the club after falling out favour with coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.

Last month the Japanese star released a controversial interview criticising the club and the management, and excusing the players for the current critical situation.

Now Honda finds himself isolated from the team having only started four games so far this season

According to Calciomercato.com, he asked to be sold as soon as possible, but vice-president Adriano Galliani wants to keep the player at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

The Japanese player has a contract until June 2017, and Galliani does not want to sell Honda until at least the end of the season.

Reportedly, the reason for Galliani’s stance is the back injury suffered by winger Jeremy Menez. The Frenchman will not recover before March, and as Suso is also likely to leave the club in January, Gallani wants to avoid a potential shortage of forward players
