Izzo Gasperini GenoaGenoa defender Armando Izzo is being lined up for a potential January move by Premier League giants Arsenal.

The 23-year-old started to earn the attention of Italy’s bigger clubs while playing for Avellino in the 2013-14 season, before impressing at the Grifone during the 2014-15 campaign.

According to Il Secolo XIX, the Gunners are lining up a move for the Napoli youth graduate, with Arsene Wenger believed to be a keen admirer of Izzo.

Rossoblu coach Gian Piero Gasperini has shown enormous trust in the youngster, playing him in ten of the opening 12 rounds so far this season.

Despite the talents of Izzo at the back, Genoa have shown inconsistency in their start to the season and currently sit in 15th place in the Serie A table, collecting just 13 points from their 12 games to date.
