Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger has reportedly been scouting Genoa winger Diego Perotti in the past few weeks, and is preparing an offer for the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old has been connected to several other teams in the past, but this is the first time a club is close to offering the €20 million requested by Rossoblu president Enrico Preziosi.
According to the Metro, the Argentinian winger is at the top of Wenger’s transfer list, who is now plotting an initial bid of around €14 million.
The former Sevilla winger only joined the Ligurian club in 2014, but was strongly linked with a move away from the Stadio Luigi Ferraris in the summer, however his proposed move to either Watford or Napoli ultimately collapsed.
Perotti has played 11 games as a starter in the Serie A campaign so far, scoring just one goal and delivering one assist.
