Edy RejaAtalanta coach Edoardo Reja has apologised following his side’s defeat to Torino for the team not putting in a good enough performance.

La Dea suffered their first home defeat of the season on Sunday afternoon with a 1-0 loss to the Granata, in a game where it took 41 minutes for the hosts to just get their first shot on target.

“They scored a goal from a corner, they are good at set pieces,” Reja told Rai Sport after the game.

“I am sorry because we came into the game in a good state both physically and mentally and we did not play like we usually do.”

Atalanta now sit 10th in the Serie A league table after the defeat, ahead of their tough trip to the capital on November 29 to face Roma.

Torino, meanwhile, are ninth and host Bologna in their next Serie A assignment.
