UC Citta di Palermo Unveils New Coach Davide BallardiniPalermo coach Davide Ballardini is disappointed with the personality that his team showed in their 3-0 home defeat to Juventus.

The Bianconeri opened the scoring in Sicily with 54 minutes on the clock through Mario Mandzukic and got another two goals late on, and Ballardini thinks that his squad’s response after going behind was not good enough.

“For 60 minutes Palermo played a very good game,” Ballardini told Premium Sport after the final whistle.

“After the goal we tried to make something happen but it was hard once Juve started to defend and they were deadly on the counterattack.

“We did not have the unity that brings success against these teams.

“We lost confidence and this should never happen again.”

Despite this, the Italian tactician acknowledged that the Rosanero were getting tired by the time Mandzukic broke the deadlock.

“We had put in a lot of effort by then, we did not have the physical and mental energy to continue to be as good as we were in the first hour of play,” Ballardini added.
