florenziBarcelona are reportedly interested in persuading Roma’s Alessandro Florenzi to leave the Italian capital and head to Camp Nou.

The Roman’s versatility is said to be of significant appeal to the Catalan giants, who are looking to rejuvenate their squad without sacrificing any quality.

Spanish newspaper AS have reported that having searched the major European leagues, Florenzi has proved to be one of their best options, particularly after scoring a stunning 50-yard goal in the Champions League against the Blaugrana in September.

The reigning Spanish Champions’ interest in Florenzi is said to be in addition to other existing Serie A targets, with Lazio’s Antonio Candreva and Napoli’s Allan also high on the list.

Barcelona Sporting Director Ariedo Braida, previously a long time director with AC Milan, is believed to be behind the newfound interest in Serie A talent.

The Giallorossi will face Braida’s team for the second time in next Tuesday’s Group E Champions League clash, with Florenzi sure to be under close watch.
