Chievo midfielder Valter Birsa is disappointed with his side’s loss to Palermo.
The Gialloblu were defeated 1-0 by the Rosanero on Sunday afternoon in Serie A with an Alberto Gilardino goal being enough for the home side, although Chievo did have opportunities to get goals themselves.
“It’s difficult to comment on a game like that,” Birsa told ChievoTV.
“We had lots of chances but we did not exploit them and in the end we return to Verona with a defeat.
“Palermo remained in the game and scored a goal in the second half in rare attacking move from them.”
Talking of Chievo’s league chances this season, Birsa is disappointed with their current position but is positive that they can climb up the table in the future.
“We no longer have the league position we did a few months ago thanks to matches like today,” he said.
“But we could be higher than this position.
“If we continue to work like we are doing, results will come our way.”
